Quantum Science with Ultracold Strontium

We are building two ultracold strontium apparatuses with the long-term goals of building a fermionic quantum computer and atomtronic devices over nanophotonic circuits.

Below, an awesome video entirely made by the graduate students on their initiative and creativity, in particular by Robin Glefke and Grady Kestler:

Our work has been sponsored by grants from the Regents of the University of California (UC San Diego), University of California Office of the President (Catalyst & MRPI), the Sloan Foundation, the Lattimer Faculty Fellowship, DARPA, the National Science Foundation (CAREER), and the Office of Naval Research.
