We are a new research group at the University of California San Diego working in the field of atomic, molecular and optical physics (AMO) and, in particular, ultracold atomic gases.
We have built two ultracold strontium apparatuses with the long-term goals of building a fermionic quantum computer and atomtronic devices over nanophotonic circuits.
Our work has been sponsored by grants from the Regents of the University of California (UC San Diego), University of California Office of the President (Catalyst & MRPI), the Sloan Foundation, the Lattimer Faculty Fellowship, DARPA, the National Science Foundation (CAREER), and the Office of Naval Research.
